The Cornea Clinic
We have experienced that blindness due to corneal diseases occurs mainly in children and young adults. In nearly half of the instances, corneal blindness can be prevented or treated. Ever since the establishment of this Clinic, special services for corneal and external eye disease problems have been provided.
Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK) 1299 operations were done till the year 2004, out of which 107 operations were performed in the year 2004.
Refractive Surgery LASIK and PRK were started in late 2001 and to date 187 (96 people) procedures have been performed on people with refractive error. This is purely an optional service, which previously was only obtainable at clinics overseas.
Contact Lens Clinic Our optometrist is providing both optical and therapeutic contact lens services.
