Many glaucoma patients are in the advanced stage of the disease with significant loss of vision at the time of diagnosis. Raising awareness of the disease is of utmost importance in the management and the prevention of blindness from glaucoma.
Everyone above the age of 40 years is at risk for developing glaucoma.
