ROP Awareness Program at Khwopa Center

Tilganga Insititute of Ophthalmology (TIO) along with Khwopa Hospital and Khwopa Tilganga Eye Hospital conducted an awareness program on Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) on 26th April Friday in Khwopa, Bhaktapur. Dr. Eli Pradhan and Dr. Ang Jhanmu Lama from TIO emphasized on early screening and early referral to prevent ROP blindness to the participants which included Gynecologists, Paediatricians, Neonatal Intensive care ( NICU) nurses, School Nurses, and Community Health Nurses. Dr Majesh Pratap Malla, Deputy Director of Khwopa Hospital, Mr. Dhiraj Adhikari, In-charge Khowpa TIlganga Eye Centre, and Chairman of Ward no 9, Mr. Rabindra Jyakho also spoke on the role of people from different levels to tackle this burning problem.
